Convaa vs Gemini in Google Chat

The same idea, without being locked to one suite or one model.

Google put Gemini inside Google Chat so a group can ask it things together. Convaa does the same thing without requiring everyone to be in your Workspace, and without limiting you to a single vendor's model.

Common questions

How is this different from asking Gemini in Google Chat?
The shape is similar and that is a good sign for the category. The differences are that Convaa is not tied to one suite, anyone can join a thread from a link without an account, several models are available in the same thread, and you can run the whole thing on your own infrastructure.
We already pay for Google Workspace. Why add anything?
Usually for one of three reasons: people outside your Workspace need to be in the conversation, you want more than one model's answer to a question that matters, or the conversation cannot live in a vendor cloud.
Can Convaa use Gemini?
Convaa runs Claude, GPT and open models today, and the Council asks several of them at once so you are not relying on any single one.
